What happens to a patient with hyperparathyroidism?
In a patient with hyperparathyroidism, PTH and serum calcium levels are elevated. This leads to the depletion of body calcium reserves and symptoms such as dehydration, bone pain, kidney stones, chronic fatigue and mental issues such as confusion, loss of memory and poor concentration.
