Does a banana hydrate you?
A banana can provide hydration as it is about 74% water. It is also rich in potassium and magnesium that are lost along with water in case of dehydration. You can eat a banana before your workout to prevent dehydration, but it can not treat dehydration as more fruits and drinks are more hydrating than a banana. Also, green bananas are less hydrating and fiber-rich than ripe yellow bananas.
